Anti Ragging & POSH

Anti Ragging & POSH COMMITTEE

Anti Ragging

We are proud to say that our college is ragging-free zone.

At KVCAS, we are strongly committed to ensuring a safe, supportive, and completely ragging-free environment for every student. Ragging in any form—physical, verbal, emotional, or online—is strictly prohibited both on and off campus. The institution adheres to the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has constituted a fully functional Anti-Ragging Committee and Monitoring Cell.

Our faculty works very actively, when the fresher’s enter the campus and they monitor and curb the activities of the mischievous elements if any. The Anti-Ragging committee helps the students to get acquaint themselves freely in the campus.

All students must submit an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission. The college regularly organizes awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions to inform students about the harmful effects of ragging and its legal consequences. Any act of ragging will result in strict disciplinary action, which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal prosecution.

Students are encouraged to report any incidents confidentially through our helpline or online complaint form. Together, we aim to uphold a campus culture based on mutual respect, dignity, and academic excellence.

POSH

Sexual Harassment Policy at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013

Sexual harassment includes any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, remarks of a sexual nature, or behavior based on a person’s gender that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment. This can involve inappropriate touching or groping, sexually suggestive comments or jokes, displaying or sharing explicit content, making sexual gestures, or using offensive sexual language. It may also include offering benefits or making threats in exchange for sexual favors (quid pro quo harassment), or creating an intimidating environment through sexual innuendos, remarks, or actions.

A safe workplace is a woman’s legal right. Sexual harassment is a serious violation of women’s rights to equality, dignity, and safety. Globally, workplace sexual harassment is recognized as both a violation of human rights and a form of violence against women. In India, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 was enacted to ensure safe working environments for women and to promote workplaces that uphold women’s right to equality, respect, and equal opportunity.
